January 8th, 2025 Lizeth George Lizeth George Credit Union News, Florida 0 comments

Pensacola, Florida (January 8, 2025) – PenAir Credit Union (PenAir) announced it has selected eight local nonprofits to receive donations in 2025 through its Communerosity Employee Fundraising Program. This program is a part of PenAir’s dedication to Communerosity—where generosity is a positive force for good in the communities PenAir serves. The selected organizations were nominated and voted on by PenAir employees for their impactful work and alignment with PenAir’s mission to enhance lives where members live, work, and serve.

Each nonprofit will receive a monetary donation and a commitment from PenAir’s more than 380 employees to serve the charities through volunteer opportunities that further their mission(s).

2025 Communerosity Recipients:

  • 4EVR DEZ
  • A Hope, Inc.
  • Escambia Search & Rescue Inc.’s Project Lifesaver
  • FavorHouse of Northwest Florida, Inc.
  • Feeding the Gulf Coast
  • FoodRaising Friends, Inc.
  • Freedom to Go, Inc
  • Rally Gulf Coast

“We coined the term ‘Communerosity’ to represent the dedication and passion exemplified by PenAir employees for the communities we serve and the organizations that make our communities stronger,” said PenAir’s Communerosity Committee Chair and Card Services Manager, Ashley Kent. “I’m proud to see PenAir continuously make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us and allow our staff to select these organizations each year.”

The Communerosity Employee Fundraising Program is named after one of PenAir’s most important values and provides staff with a unified way to give back to the local community. Since its start in 2013, this program has been a beacon of generosity, with PenAir and its employees contributing more than $486,000 to support local nonprofits. In 2024, PenAir provided a total of $48,000 to eight nonprofits.
