Fort Walton Beach, Fla. – Eglin Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Card Services Supervisor Jamie Cervantes has been selected as the Five-Star Performer of the 3rd quarter of 2026. Jamie has been employed with the Credit Union for over 17 years and currently resides in Fort Walton Beach. The 5-Star Performer Award is a quarterly employee recognition program. The nominator provides a written submission describing how the employee embraces Eglin FCU’s Values: Respectful, Trustworthy, Dedicated, Proactive and Engaged.
Jamie was nominated by multiple coworkers for her exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication and commitment to delivering outstanding service. She is known for her positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond for both members and employees. Jamie leads by example, empowering her team through support, guidance and encouragement while ensuring members receive timely, effective solutions and personalized service. Colleagues describe her as a trusted resource, proactive problem-solver and outstanding leader whose professionalism, reliability and engagement consistently reflect the Credit Union’s Five-Star values.
“Jamie is a one-of-a-kind supervisor,” said Card Services Manager Alicia Kennedy. “She leads by example, always willing to step in and help wherever needed. Jamie comes to work each day with a smile and a genuine enthusiasm for serving our members and supporting her team. She is widely recognized throughout Eglin FCU as a trusted and knowledgeable resource for Card Services. Members consistently seek her assistance because she builds trust quickly and fosters strong, lasting relationships with those she serves.”
Jamie began her career with Eglin FCU in July 2009 as a part-time Teller at the Fort Walton Beach Branch. She advanced through several roles within the Credit Union, including Mail Teller, EFT Representative, Card Services Representative, Card Services Senior Representative and Card Services Representative III, building extensive expertise in Card Services operations. In July 2022, she was promoted to Card Services Supervisor, where she leads an engaged team dedicated to delivering trusted service and support to members and fellow employees.
During her celebration, Jamie said, “I truly love Eglin FCU, our members and my department. Helping people and solving problems is what drives me. Even after 17 years with the Credit Union, I still thrive on learning new things, and I give so much credit to my incredible team for their support.”
