BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Aug. 7, 2024) — Forbes named America’s First Federal Credit Union (AmFirst) as one of America’s Best Credit Unions in each state. AmFirst is one of five credit unions recognized in Alabama and the only one based out of Birmingham.
“We are grateful to be honored as one of Alabama’s Best Credit Unions for the second year in a row,” said Bill Connor, President and CEO of AmFirst. “This recognition is a testament to our growth over the last few years and our devotion to serving our members here at AmFirst.”
In their seventh annual ranking, Forbes utilized independent market research of over 26,000 American residents. The firm, Statista, surveyed where participants had accounts at both banks and credit unions.
Participants were asked about their satisfaction with their financial institution, their willingness to recommend it to others, and their overall rating of the institution. Statista utilized surveys taken over the last three years. Additionally, the firm used online reviews and ratings completed between February 2021 and March 2024.
