Robins Financial Credit Union recently continued its mission to support the Watkinsville/Oconee County community by contributing $1,000 to The Sparrow's Nest.

Georgia United Foundation donated more than $5,000 to the Atlanta Community Food Bank this year through their annual Can Hunger food drive.
This marks seven years of the food drive that brings members, local residents and businesses together to donate non-perishable food items or money to local food banks.

North Main Credit Union recently participated in the Dec-a-Duck contest at the Mt. Laurel Festival in Clarkesville to support the Volunteers for Literacy of Habersham County.
The credit union decorated its toy duck to look like Scrooge McDuck. The entry received 3rd place in the People's Choice Award category as well as in the Most Creative category.

The staff of United 1st Federal Credit Union's Blackshear and Waycross branches recently raised $4,701 for the Southeast Cancer Unit at its annual fundraising walk.
That surpassed last year's donation by nearly $600.
The Southeast Cancer Unit, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides counseling, support and respite care to their friends and neighbors diagnosed with cancer in Brantley, Pierce and Ware counties. Each year, the group holds a walk to raise funds.
This year's fundraising efforts reached $101,000.
