Robins Financial Credit Union Donates $40,000 to Local Teachers

Warner Robins, Ga. – Robins Financial Credit Union supports education by granting the wishes of 20 local teachers through its 3^rd Annual GRANTED program.

GRANTED was created by the credit union in 2022 in an effort to alleviate some of the financial burden on local teachers and provide them with the tools they need to educate and engage their students. Educators who teach grades K-12 at schools located within one of Robins Financial’s 45 counties of membership were eligible to apply. Selected recipients receive classroom supplies or monetary donations to purchase items from their classroom wish lists. This year, Robins Financial is proud to grant the wishes of 20 local teachers with donations totaling $40,000.

“I am so incredibly grateful for Robins Financial Credit Union’s generous donation to my classroom,” said Joshua McCorkle, teacher at Central High School in Macon. “With this support, I will bring cutting-edge technology to facilitate hands-on activities and seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence into the classroom. Robins Financial’s contribution is helping shape the future, where all students will grow and thrive in a 21^st century global society.”

Hannah Towns, a teacher at Warner Robins High School, also shared that “this generous donation will have a lasting impact on my students, providing them with the resources and opportunities to thrive. It empowers us to enhance their learning experiences, helping them to reach their full potential and build a brighter future.”

Robins Financial believes education is a step on the path to a bright future. Creating the GRANTED program is just one of many ways the credit union supports this belief.
