Fort Walton Beach, Fla. – Eglin Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce Indirect Lending Officer Johna Jones has been selected as the 5-Star Performer of the First Quarter of 2025. Johna has been employed with the Credit Union since August 2017 and currently resides in Gulf Breeze.
The 5-Star Performer Award is a quarterly employee recognition program. The nominator provides a written submission describing how the employee embraces EFCU’s Five-Star Values: Respectful, Trustworthy, Dedicated, Proactive and Engaged.
Johna was nominated by a teammate for consistently bringing a positive and helpful attitude to her work and inspiring her coworkers with her sociability, friendliness and team spirit. She is known for being a dedicated and hard worker who genuinely cares about the Credit Union and its members. She was recognized for her proactive nature, which drives her to take initiative and handle tasks that need attention, while at the same time delivering her best, regardless of circumstances.
“I really love my job at the Credit Union,” Johna commented after her celebration. “I love helping our members with their loans so they can have the best auto-buying experience possible. And I love the team I work with. We all help each other, and the camaraderie is fantastic. Our department gets along so well that we even do things together outside of work. This is my home away from home.”
Johna started her career at the Credit Union in 2017 as a Title Processor and was promoted to PAL/Title Supervisor later that year. In July 2021, Johna was promoted to Indirect Lending Officer I, then promoted to Indirect Lending Officer II in December 2021.
Indirect Lending Manager Sara Houghton commented, “Johna exemplifies dedication, respect, and professionalism. Her positive attitude and proactive nature inspire everyone around her. Johna’s unwavering commitment to Eglin FCU and its members, coupled with her ability to earn trust and deliver her best, rain or shine, make her an invaluable asset to our team.”
