Marietta, GA — Credit Union of Georgia is proud to announce the successful launch of its new financial literacy curriculum with students from Marietta High School at Marietta Community School, designed to equip students in grades 9–12 with essential real-world money management skills.
The program officially kicked off this week with an engaging and interactive session led by Kathy Winarczyk, Business Development Officer for Cobb County who spent the evening connecting with students and introducing key financial concepts that will help prepare them for life beyond the classroom. From budgeting basics to making informed financial decisions, the curriculum is built to empower students with the confidence and knowledge needed for long-term success.
“This is exactly the kind of impact we strive for,” said Amanda Arnold, Director of Community Outreach from Credit Union of Georgia. “Financial literacy is a critical life skill, and we’re committed to helping students build a strong foundation early on.”
The newly launched curriculum is tailored specifically for high school students and focuses on practical, relatable topics that they will encounter as they transition into adulthood. By bringing these lessons directly into schools, Credit Union of Georgia continues its mission to support and strengthen the communities it serves.
Credit Union of Georgia is actively expanding the program to include tailored financial literacy curriculum for kindergarten–5th grade and 6th–8th grade students. The opportunity to make a lasting impact on students across the region is a driving force behind this initiative.
