Naperville, Ill. (September 15, 2023) – Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union’s ninth annual Credit Union Executive Leadership Symposium saw record attendance as 203 professionals representing 137 credit unions and 25 states traveled to Las Vegas for three days of credit union-focused education and connection.

“It was Alloya’s honor and privilege to host an extraordinary number of credit union professionals at our Leadership Symposium,” reflected Alloya’s Tim Bruculere, Senior Vice President of Membership. “Every year, we aspire to deliver thought-provoking information and memorable experiences, but it is our wonderful attendees that truly bring the event to life. Credit union connection is what the Symposium is all about.”

The 2023 Symposium featured an array of speakers, with artificial intelligence (AI) as a special topic of focus as credit union leaders continue to explore how this technology will reshape the industry. AI-focused speakers included keynote Allie K. Miller, AI Entrepreneur, Advisor & Investor, and Bill Barnes, Principal Program Manager at Microsoft. In addition, attendees heard from: keynote Duncan Wardle, Head of Innovation & Creativity for Disney; keynote Alex Sheen, founder of the international social movement “because I said I would”; and Jim Knight, former Leadership Trainer at Hard Rock Café – Hard Rock International. Several Alloya professionals also shared their expertise with attendees through general and breakout sessions on the economy, faster payments, digital transformation and financial inclusion.

Supplementing the education sessions, attendees enjoyed memorable networking opportunities. Wednesday night featured a reception and dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant with legendary views of the strip and Bellagio Fountains. A Symposium favorite, Alloya’s Football Night returned for another year, this time featuring a celebrity appearance from Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback and Buffalo Bills legend, Jim Kelly.

“We cannot thank our attendees enough for setting aside the time and resources to join us for our Symposium, and we hope you’ll consider joining us again next year as we celebrate 10 years of the event in Nashville,” Bruculere concluded.
