Warner Robins, Ga. – Robins Financial is proud to announce that it has successfully reached its goal of donating $1 million to local non-profits and initiatives during its 70th anniversary year. This significant contribution positively impacted more than 230 organizations and shows the dedication the credit union has to the community.

“We are honored to fulfill our promise of donating $1 million back to the community to commemorate our 70th anniversary,” said Christina O’Brien, President and CEO of Robins Financial Credit Union. “People helping people is the credit union philosophy and we are proud to be able to give back in such a substantial way to serve our members and the place we call home.”

Highlights of the $1 million donation include:

  • Funded 14 non-profit projects through the Community Projects initiative
  • Supported pediatric healthcare and research at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital through the annual Miracle May fundraising campaign
  • Supported United Way of Central Georgia through donations from team members during the annual United Way campaign as well a corporate donation
  • Helped teachers stock their classrooms with learning materials through the annual GRANTED program
  • Provided monetary support to 70 organizations serving the needs of their communities this season through the annual Holiday Giving program
  • Provided academic scholarships to Robins Financial members pursuing higher education

The United Way of Central Georgia is thankful for the longstanding partnership between it and Robins Financial.

“We are incredibly grateful to Robins Financial Credit Union and their remarkable employees for their outstanding generosity and commitment to supporting our community,” said George McCanless, President and CEO of United Way of Central Georgia. “Their workplace campaign continues to increase and represents an extraordinary level of dedication to improving lives and strengthening families across our region. Robins Financial continues to set the bar for corporate leadership and employee engagement, and we are honored to have them as a valued partner in making a difference.”

‘Community Proud’ is a vital part of the Robins Financial mission. This year more than 1400 volunteer hours were donated to non-profit organizations by the credit union’s team members.

Throughout their 70 years of service, Robins Financial Credit Union has maintained the philosophy of “people helping people.” From their start on Robins Air Force Base to their expansion throughout Georgia and beyond, they’ve provided stability and enhanced the financial well-being of their now more than 273,000 members and the 45 communities they serve.
