MEMBERS FIRST CREDIT UNION OF FLORIDA ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT OF PRESIDENT AND CEO, CARYL GREENE, AFTER 38 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE

Pensacola, Florida, April 2024 – Members First Credit Union of Florida proudly announces the retirement of its esteemed President and Chief Executive Officer, Caryl Greene, who has served the credit union with unwavering loyalty and dedication for 38 years. Ms. Greene’s retirement marks the conclusion of an illustrious career characterized by visionary leadership, remarkable achievements, and a steadfast commitment to the mission of Members First Credit Union.

Throughout her tenure as President and CEO, Caryl Greene has been instrumental in driving positive transformations within Members First, navigating the organization through significant milestones and challenges with resolute dedication. Under her exceptional leadership, Members First Credit Union has experienced remarkable growth and success, including the expansion to six locations, the completion of two successful mergers, the attainment of over 20,000 members, and the increase of assets to $286 million. Ms. Greene’s contributions have left an indelible mark on the credit union’s history and its commitment to serving its members.

In addition to her role at Members First, Caryl Greene has generously shared her expertise by serving on various community boards and as a Board Member for the League of Southeastern Credit Unions. Her dedicated service has been instrumental in effecting positive change for credit union members and the broader community. Under her leadership, Members First Credit Union has cultivated a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and financial excellence, resulting in notable advancements and a steadfast commitment to members’ financial well-being.

Theresa McCants, Chairperson of the Board at Members First Credit Union, expressed heartfelt appreciation for Greene’s remarkable contributions, stating, “It is with mixed emotions that we announce Caryl’s retirement. She leaves behind a legacy of integrity, leadership, and dedication to our members and employees. Her vision has guided Members First through times of growth and challenge, and we are grateful for her unparalleled commitment.”

As Caryl Greene transitions into this new chapter of her life, she looks forward to spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and cheering for her beloved Auburn Tigers. Members First Credit Union extends its deepest gratitude to Ms. Greene for her outstanding leadership, dedication, and enduring impact.

Michele Williams, who has served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Members First Credit Union for many years, has assumed the role of President and CEO, ensuring continuity of leadership and a seamless transition for the organization.
