Atlanta, Ga. (April 1, 2024) – On Tuesday, March 26, LGE Community Credit Union celebrated the official grand opening of its new Cartersville branch, located at 105 Main St. Market Place, Cartersville, GA 30121. The new location is LGE’s first in Bartow County and 16th branch overall.

The official grand opening celebration featured a ceremonial ribbon cutting with the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce, luxury charcuterie from The Board and Box, breakfast treats from Nagel’s Bagels, desserts from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and balloon decorations from Get It POPin.

Brendan Page, membership director of the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber, Matt Santini, mayor of Cartersville, Chris Leggett, president/CEO of LGE, and Larry Swafford, Cartersville financial center manager, gave remarks about the new location and LGE’s presence in Bartow County. Melinda Lemmon, executive director of the Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development, was also in attendance.

“We’re thrilled to continue LGE’s growth in Bartow County and northwest Georgia with our new Cartersville branch,” says Leggett. “Convenient branch locations are just one of the many ways LGE continues to provide members with exceptional service and value.”

In the spirit of the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” the LGE Community Outreach Foundation presented a $1,000 donation to Bartow Back the Blue, a nonprofit organization that supports Bartow County law enforcement during times of need.

The Cartersville branch is led by Larry Swafford, financial center manager, and Bethany Ware, assistant financial center manager.

Anyone who lives or works in Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Cobb, Dade, Douglas, Floyd, Fulton, Gordon, Murray, Paulding, Polk, Walker, and Whitfield counties is eligible to apply for LGE membership, as are employees of many companies. Family members of existing members are also eligible.
