Tropical Financial Credit Union Relocates Kendall Branch to Larger, More Enhanced Space

MIRAMAR, Fla. – (November 6, 2024) Tropical Financial Credit Union is expanding its presence in Southwest Miami-Dade by relocating its Kendall branch to a larger space that will allow for more services and more convenient parking.

The new 3,000-square-foot branch is at 11400 N. Kendall Drive, Miami, on the ground floor of an office building. It is approximately twice the size of the credit union’s former Kendall branch which is 1.5 miles away. Members will now have access to drive-thru service.

“While digital banking is a big emphasis for us, we recognize there is still a need and desire from our members to transact business in person,” said Rick Shaw, Tropical Financial President and CEO. “We want to make sure they have the best experience possible when they do. It’s the personal touch that makes credit unions different.”

The new Kendall branch has two ATMs, including a walk-up and drive-thru option for additional convenience. Those who wish to go inside the branch will have ample parking.

The location features a comfortable reception area where members can view personal finance videos on Tropical TV while waiting to visit with a Member Service Representative. They can also spend time at the Tech Bar and check out the latest offerings and rates on loans or start an application. Members can apply for a mortgage, automobile, consumer, or business loan or open a debit or savings account at the branch.

“We have a very loyal member base in Kendall and are very happy that we can now enhance their branch experience,” said Brian Burress, Vice President, Member Relations Team.

In addition to the Kendall opening, Tropical Financial plans to open a new branch in Doral later this fall.
