Peach State has awarded almost $1.3 million in scholarships to students and career professionals seeking to further their education since 2002. This year, credit union staff and representatives from the Board of Directors gathered with the recipients of its four different types of scholarships and grants. Robins Financial Credit Union donates time and money to Habitat for Humanity

May 16th, 20180113 Robins Financial Credit Union recently donated both money and time to the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity. In addition to a monetary corporate donation, a team of Robins Financial Credit Union employees met at a home in Lynmore Estates for Habitat's "Women Build Day."  The women worked on three habitat houses, completing project such as insulation, vinyl siding and exterior painting. Robins Financial Credit Union has partnered with the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity since 2008, and employees have frequently donated their time to construct Habitat homes.

Delta Community Credit Union gifts $100 savings accounts to local students

The students won the accounts by submitting winning entries into the credit union's third annual Youth Month Essay Contest, which the credit union hosted during National Credit Union Youth Savings Month in April. Kinetic Credit Union awards $5,000 to area college students

May 11th, 20180109 Kinetic Credit Union recently awarded $5,000 in scholarships to two rising college students. Alexis Grier from Smiths Station High School and Curtis Walker, Jr., from Columbus High School each received $2,500 Ronald J. Mahoney Kinetic Scholarships. The scholarships are named in honor of former Kinetic Chairman Ron Mahoney, who passed away in January 2016. Grier will be attending Auburn University and plans to major in human development and family studies. May 10th, 2018292 Georgia United Credit Union recently launched a new loan option for undergraduate students and refinancing options for graduate students. "These programs provide solutions for current students who require financial assistance and for graduates who want a manageable way to repay their student loans," according to a Georgia United press release. Georgia United's new Student Choice loans are available for undergraduates enrolled in most four-year public and private colleges.
