Pensacola, Florida (October 8, 2024) – PenAir Credit Union (PenAir) is excited to announce the appointment of Rebekah Vassar as the new Panama City, FL Market Executive for its Commercial Banking team. Bringing a wealth of experience in commercial lending and financial management, Vassar is ready to lead the expansion of PenAir’s commercial banking operations throughout the Panama City and Bay County, FL region.
Vassar has an impressive 15-year track record of success in the financial industry, having most recently served for eight years as Business Banking Portfolio Manager at Hancock Whitney Bank in Panama City. There, she managed and oversaw the entire lending process, focusing on healthcare, manufacturing, engineering, construction, and hospitality. Vassar also specialized in financial analysis, and risk management, significantly optimizing credit processes and fostering strong client relationships. Before that, Vassar held financial advisor roles at PNC Financial Services Group and Edward Jones.

Vassar is deeply involved in the Panama City community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Career Source Gulf Coast, is a member of the Panama City and Panama City Beach Chambers of Commerce, and is a Board Member for Girls Inc. of Bay County.
