West Palm Beach, FL (October 19, 2023) — Guardians Credit Union, a full-service financial institution, is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Darias as the new Member Relations Manager for their South Florida Financial Credit Union (SFFCU) Miami Division.
With an extensive professional background and diverse skill set, Darias brings a wealth of experience to her new role, making her a valuable addition to the team at SFFCU, A Division of Guardians Credit Union. Additionally, having previously worked at the same branch, VAH Miami Federal Credit Union at the time, Darias has a history and passion for the SFFCU Division membership.
Having a solid foundation in the financial industry, Darias also served as Branch Manager at General Mills Federal Credit Union for 14 years. During her tenure, she demonstrated exceptional leadership, effectively managing branch operations and fostering strong member relationships. Darias played a crucial role in optimizing profitability, implementing effective collections procedures, and providing educational seminars for members, all of which contributed to the growth of the credit union.
In addition to her branch management experience, Darias has held positions at various reputable institutions, including the University of Miami and Mercy Credit Union. Her roles encompassed responsibilities such as cash handling, member services, business development, and marketing, showcasing her versatility and expertise across the financial sector.
Educationally, Darias holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Florida International University. She has also completed significant coursework and training, emphasizing her commitment to professional development and industry expertise.
