JACKSONVILLE, FLA. (October 3, 2023) – Alive Credit Union (ACU) and City & Police Federal Credit Union (CPFCU) are pleased to announce their plans to join their two strong and financially sound institutions. The combined credit union will bring extensive experience and resources together for the benefit of the collective membership. They are proud to continue serving the financial needs of their local community, law enforcement, healthcare, city, marketplace employees and their families.

This strategic merger allows Alive Credit Union to make a greater impact in their communities, and those who live in underserved areas or are unbanked. It also provides more opportunities for innovation and expansion, while retaining the same friendly faces and great service their members are accustomed to.

The board members of both credit unions look forward to providing added value and convenience to their members. In response to this collaboration, ACU Board Chair Camille Cossa said, “This is an exciting time for both Credit Unions. By joining together, we will strengthen our services to our members, and make a more visible impact on our communities.

ACU President/CEO, Rose Gunter and CPFCU President/CEO, Aaron Logue, said in a joint statement, “It is an honor to serve our members and we look forward to continuing to deliver excellent member service through this merger. Our vision is to provide the services our members need so they can succeed financially while impacting our community in a positive way. This merger helps us fulfill our vision and secure our legacies.”

Logue will lead Alive Credit Union as President and CEO upon Gunter’s retirement and completion of the merger.
