DULUTH, GA (July 6, 2023) – Georgia United Credit Union, recently named Credit Union of the Year for Georgia by the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU), announces the promotion of Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Laura King to president, and the promotion of Todd Lambright from senior vice president of member experience and delivery to chief experience and delivery officer (CXDO).
In the newly created role of president, King is responsible for daily operations of the organization and its focus on member service, oversight of financial and strategic performance and driving efficient, sustainable growth.
“Laura is a visionary executive and has a proven history of leading innovation and driving transformational successes,” said Smith, who was appointed president and CEO of Georgia United in 2013. “A results-oriented leader, Laura is committed to Georgia United’s purpose of enriching the lives of our members, team members and the communities we serve.”
King was hired by Georgia United as executive vice president in 2021 and was promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2022. Prior to joining Georgia United, she served as senior vice president of retail, sales and digital delivery at Georgia’s Own Credit Union, and before that, was executive vice president/COO at LGE Community Credit Union, where she served for more than 19 years.
Lambright joined the credit union as senior vice president of member experience and delivery in early 2022. Prior to that he worked for Georgia’s Own Credit Union, first as mortgage lending sales manager then as vice president of sales, and he has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Lambright’s responsibilities as CXDO include directing the credit union’s overall member experience and relationships, operational and administrative leadership of the member care center, branch system, digital services team and business development. He will drive implementation of innovative retail technology, member experience improvements and team development and ensure that retail activities result in exceptional member service experiences, market expansion and diversification.
