May, 10, 2023 _ The Redstone Federal Credit Union Board of Directors has announced that Rick Hempstead will join its Board effective immediately.
Hempstead is vice president of finance and treasurer of IronMountain Solutions, a technology solutions company located in Huntsville, AL. He currently serves as a member of both the Supervisory and Asset Liability Committees of the Board. He also previously served on the Board’s Member Connections Committee.
Dave Hargrove, chairman of the Board of Directors, said he welcomes Hempstead to the volunteer Board and looks forward to working with him to continue to serve Redstone’s members and the broader community.
“Rick is a Certified Public Accountant who brings more than 30 years of accounting and finance experience to the Board. In addition, he desires to serve others and has a long history of giving back to his community,’’ Hargrove said.
Hempstead has a broad background in various sectors, including banking, technology, manufacturing and a decade in the defense contracting sector. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University.
He will fill the Board seat from April 2023 to February 2026, fulfilling the unexpired term of Terrence Clay Jr., who resigned from the Board in February.
