Langley Federal Credit Union to Pay 90 Members’ Car Payments in Celebration of 90 Years

NEWPORT NEWS, Va., – Langley Federal Credit Union is marking 90 years of serving members and communities by paying the car payments for 90 members.

As part of Langley’s 90th anniversary celebration, the credit union will cover the monthly auto loan payments for 90 members with active Langley auto loans. Each month from May through July, 30 members will receive up to $500 toward their car payment.

For many households, a car payment is one of the largest recurring monthly expenses. Langley’s anniversary initiative is designed to provide financial relief while celebrating the members who have helped shape the credit union’s story.

“Reaching 90 years is an incredible milestone, and it’s only possible because of the trust our members have placed in us,” CEO Gaurav Bhatia said. “Paying members’ car payments is our way of saying thank you and celebrating the people who have been part of Langley’s journey.”

Eligible members must have an active Langley auto loan with auto-payments enabled and meet Primary Checking qualifications. Winners will be selected each month from April through June and payments will be applied beginning in May through July.

Langley’s official anniversary was April 17, marking the day the credit union was founded in 1936. To commemorate the occasion, Langley hosted celebrations at all 20 branches, with guests enjoying complimentary desserts, refreshments and exclusive 90th anniversary merchandise.

Langley plans several activities throughout the year to recognizes nine decades of helping members save, borrow, and spend wisely.
