- deep cleaned a 540-square food pantry, organized office space, and completed 14,500 square feet of touch up painting across two floors at the LGBT Life Center in Norfolk,Virginia.
- cleared outdated inventory, cleaned and reorganized key areas of the the Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore.
- sorted, packed and labeled 100 boxes of essential items for the Hampton, Virginia-based Salvation Army of the Virginia Peninsula’s upcoming relocation, reducing the logistical burden on the organization and allowing services to resume to the community with minimum disruption.
- served hot meals and distributed clothing and toiletries to over 230 neighbors in need through the SO ALL MAY EAT (SAME) program at the Hampton Baptist Church.
- wrapped approximately 350 gifts for youth in foster care in Hampton Roads, ensuring 70-plus birthday wish lists are fulfilled through The Friends of Foster Care in Norfolk.
- sorted 707 pounds of food and distributed 2,397pounds of food serving 43 families at THRIVE Peninsula in Newport News.
- raked leaves and enhanced the ground to create a welcoming and educational environment for thousands of visitors and promote conservation awareness at the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News.
- packed and prepared 1,080 boxes of food totaling 34,560 pounds, which will provide 28,800 meals for seniors experiencing food insecurity at the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.
- revitalized spaces that support individuals and families facing domestic crises by painting two hallways and a storage office at the YWCA of South Hampton Roads.
Langley volunteers organized and refreshed the Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore in by clearing outdated inventory, sweeping and cleaning floors, and reorganizing key areas of the store — improving efficiency and supporting ongoing funding for affordable housing initiatives.
