Innovations Financial Credit Union Names David Powell as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Panama City, FL – Innovations Financial Credit Union is proud to announce the promotion of David Powell to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this executive leadership role, Powell will oversee the credit union’s core operations, branch network, deposit and loan servicing, collections, and facilities.

Powell brings nearly three decades of experience in banking, lending, and operational leadership to the COO position. Since joining Innovations in 2013, he has led the business lending team and most recently served as Director of Mortgage and Business Lending. In that role, he strengthened portfolio performance, enhanced operational oversight, and expanded the credit union’s reach through meaningful community and member engagement.

A graduate of the Florida State University College of Business, Powell holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate and is currently pursuing his MBA. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Graduate School of Banking at LSU. Powell has been appointed to numerous state and local boards over the years, including his current service on the Gulf Coast State College District Board of Trustees and the Anchorage Children’s Home Foundation.  He also previously served as Chairman of the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, the Bay County Military Affairs Committee, and the Bay Education Foundation.
