VyStar Credit Union Announces Readiness To Support Members in the event of a Federal Government Shutdown

December 23rd, 2024 Lizeth George Lizeth George Credit Union News, Florida 0 comments

Jacksonville, Florida – VyStar Credit Union remains hopeful that a resolution will be reached quickly to avoid a federal government shutdown beginning on Saturday, Dec. 21. However, the credit union has established programs available to minimize any inconvenience its members may face.

VyStar’s programs and services are designed to help members who might experience financial hardships as a result of a shutdown. The credit union has a history of helping members navigate financial uncertainties and remains committed to offering financial assistance to those who may be affected. These services include emergency relief loans, payment deferment and other options that provide flexibility to members.

Members can visit our Government Shutdown Member Assistance webpage to learn more about the programs we have in place. These include:

  • Emergency Relief Loan
  • Credit Card Limit Increase
  • Skip-A-Pay
  • Hardship & Loan Modification Assistance
  • CD Penalty Waiver
  • Fee Waiver
  • Mortgage or Home Equity Loan Assistance

VyStar also provides flexible solutions such as adjusting payment dates, or even pausing payments temporarily, to support its members. Visit VyStar’s Hardship & Loan Modification Assistance page to learn more about the options available. While VyStar recognizes these uncertain times can be cause for concern, our members’ financial well-being is our top priority.

“We understand that times of uncertainty can be stressful, and we want to assure our members that we stand by them,” said Chad Meadow, Executive Vice President/COO of VyStar Credit Union. “With the looming threat of a government shutdown, we have a range of solutions available to ease the potential financial burden on our members. These are challenging times, and we encourage our members to reach out to us to discuss their individual needs and explore the support options available.”

Members are encouraged to visit vystarcu.org or call to speak with a VyStar representative at 904-777-6000 Monday through Saturday 7am-7pm excluding holidays.
