Warner Robins, GA – Robins Financial Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Angela Applegate to the position of Director of Audit.
Applegate started her career in a public accounting firm as a tax accountant before transitioning to employment with the federal government. During that time, she held roles in accounting and auditing, where she prepared and analyzed financial statements, ensured adherence to financial regulations, and provided audit support to internal and external parties.
“As an accountant, my participation in audit efforts sparked an interest in the field, leading me to my role as an auditor where I was able to deepen my knowledge of internal controls and risk assessment,” stated Applegate. “I am excited to apply the skills I have developed to provide support, guidance, and assistance to internal members and support the credit union’s mission to serve its members and community.”
In her new role, Applegate will oversee the credit union’s audit functions, focusing on maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accountability. She will be responsible for leading the internal audit team, conducting comprehensive reviews of financial operations, and collaborating with senior leadership to ensure the continued success and growth of Robins Financial Credit Union.
