Pen Air® Celebrates 10yrs of Impacting Local Charities Through Employee Giving

Pensacola, FLA. (February 1, 2023) – Pen Air® Credit Union (Pen Air) employees celebrate 10 years of Jeans for Communerosity® (J4C). 2023’s selected charities consist of eight local nonprofits. Each organization will receive $6,000 toward supporting their individual missions.

“We are thrilled to have been a small part of the impact and growth of our Jeans for Communerosity® program” says Connie Hansler, Marketing Specialist for Pen Air Credit Union and Communerosity Committee Co-chair. “We started out with three charities. Ten years later, it’s evolved to meet the needs of our communities and continues to provide for our community partners.”

Pen Air’s Jeans for Communerosity® (J4C) program is grown from the values we hold most dear. As an employee-driven fundraising initiative, J4C was born from the dedication and passion for providing impactful gifts within our community. Each year, employees nominate and vote for like-minded local nonprofit organizations within our service area to champion over the course of a given year. Funds are raised through payroll deductions, then matched by the credit union.

Jeans for Communerosity® is just one example of the ways we create those community connections that enhance the lives of those where we live, work and serve.”
