Long-Time Employee Joins Coosa Pines FCU Management Team

October 3rd, 2023 Lizeth George Lizeth George Alabama, Credit Union News 0 comments

Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union is promoting long-time employee Nora Pruitt to Accounting Manager. Nora began her career at Coosa Pines over 17 years ago, served in the accounting department for the last 11 years, and has been the Accounting Coordinator for six years. A native of Sylacauga, Nora graduated from BB Comer Memorial High School before attending Central Alabama Community College.

Mrs. Pruitt stated that it was the credit union’s reputation that influenced her career. “When I started 17 years ago, Coosa Pines had always been known as the best financial institution in town,” she said. “Once I decided to make a career in finance, I knew I wanted to work for the best. It really is a special place to work.” What Nora enjoys most is her coworkers. “I can honestly say that as much time as we spend together, we become our own family,” she said. “I have some of the best coworkers you could ever ask for.”

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Benjamin Puckett and two previous CPFCU managers mentored Nora in her accounting career. She said that while working closely with the three managers she has gained knowledge that allowed her to become the best that she could be. “I would like to remain on the path my mentors have paved while also continuing to provide the newest products and services to our members.”

CFO Puckett had only positive words for Mrs. Pruitt. “Nora is an amazing employee and an even better person,” he said. “She excels at anything she picks up and I am so excited to see her as the Accounting Manager. The sky is the limit for her, and we are all extremely lucky to have Nora at Coosa Pines.”

Coosa Pines FCU was chartered in 1950 and has a field of membership that includes Talladega, Shelby, St. Clair, Jefferson, Coosa, and Clay counties, Alabama. Coosa Pines has over $351 million in assets and over 24,600 members. Their five branches are in Childersburg, Sylacauga, Chelsea, Pell City, and Vincent. The Credit Union can be reached at (256) 378-5559, toll free 1-800-237-9789, or online at CoosaPinesFCU.org. Federally insured by NCUA, Coosa Pines FCU is an Equal Housing Lender.
