Innovations Financial Credit Union Honors Angie Barger on Her Retirement

Panama City, FL – Innovations Financial Credit Union proudly announces the retirement of Angie Barger, Executive Director of Member Services, after an impressive 39-year career in banking, including her service as President and CEO of First National Bank Northwest Florida (FNB) prior to its acquisition by Innovations in 2024.

Throughout her distinguished career, Barger has been recognized as a respected and trusted leader in the financial services industry—known for her professionalism, integrity, and steadfast commitment to serving both members and her team. As President and CEO of FNB, she guided the organization with vision and purpose, nurturing deep community relationships and ensuring exceptional service remained at the heart of the institution. Following the acquisition, she joined the Innovations leadership team as Executive Director of Member Services, where she played a key role in enhancing the member experience and supporting the successful integration of both organizations.

Barger’s leadership and influence extend well beyond the local community. She currently serves on the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC)—a significant career milestone. Selected as one of only six distinguished professionals from across the Southeast, she contributes valuable insights on the economy, banking conditions, and key issues impacting community depository institutions. This appointment stands as both an incredible honor and a reflection of her respected voice in the financial industry.

“Angie’s dedication, leadership, and care for people have made an incredible impact on our organization and community,” said Scott Gladden, President of Innovations Financial Credit Union. “She has led with grace, wisdom, and heart—leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire our team for years to come.”

David Southall, CEO of Innovations Financial Credit Union, added, “Angie’s career is a true example of leadership in action. Her influence has extended far beyond the walls of any one institution—shaping the culture of collaboration and integrity that defines community banking. It’s been an honor to work alongside her and witness the professionalism and heart she brings to everything she does.”

Barger has also served on the Florida Bankers Association’s Board of Directors, Government Relations Council, PAC Committee, and Audit Committee. Her achievements were recognized when she received the Horizon Award from the Florida Bankers Association—an honor highlighting her exceptional contributions and leadership within the banking industry.

Reflecting on her career, Barger shared, “It has been an incredible journey filled with meaningful relationships, professional growth, and the privilege of serving customers who truly feel like family. I’m deeply grateful to my colleagues, community, and everyone who has been part of this chapter of my life.”
