Marietta, GA – May 15, 2026 – Credit Union of Georgia is proud to announce that Kathy Winiarczyk, Business Development Officer for the Cobb County community has been selected as a recipient of the inaugural Neil Barfield Above and Beyond Award, presented during the recent Marietta Schools Foundation Board Meeting.
The award was introduced by former Marietta Schools Foundation Executive Director Joe Kinstle during a celebration honoring his retirement. Created in recognition of Neil Barfield’s legacy, the award honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication, service, and commitment to going above and beyond in support of the Foundation and the community. Kathy was one of only two individuals selected to receive this inaugural recognition.
The honor came as a complete surprise to Kathy, making the moment even more meaningful.
During the presentation, Kinstle reflected on the longstanding partnership between Credit Union of Georgia and the Marietta Schools Foundation, highlighting the organization’s unwavering commitment to supporting students, educators, and community initiatives. He recognized Credit Union of Georgia as a partner that “never says no,” emphasizing the spirit of service and collaboration that has defined the relationship over the years.
