To help credit unions clearly and consistently communicate that value, the League System today announced the release of its Credit Union Affordability Toolkit, a complimentary, fully customizable communications resource for credit unions. The toolkit is the most recent release in a series of shared toolkits rolling out throughout 2026, each designed to support credit unions’ education, outreach, and advocacy efforts.
The Affordability Toolkit provides ready-to-use materials that connect credit unions’ everyday products and services to real financial outcomes for members. On average, credit union members experience hundreds of dollars in annual savings through lower loan rates and reduced fees—value that adds up over time by easing financial pressure and improving financial well-being across communities.

Affordability is top of mind for consumers, and this toolkit helps credit unions meet that moment.”
Designed for flexibility, the Credit Union Affordability Toolkit can be easily integrated into existing credit union communications and outreach efforts—whether through digital channels, earned media, or in-person community engagement.
What’s Included in the Toolkit:
- Member-facing content including newsletter, blog, email, and website graphics and copy
- Social media posts and graphics to support broader awareness and engagement
- A press release template to support community outreach
- A budgeting worksheet to support practical financial conversations
All materials are fully customizable, allowing credit unions to incorporate local branding, data points, and contact information.
The Affordability Toolkit builds on earlier releases in the League System’s 2026 toolkit series and reflects AACUL’s ongoing commitment to strengthening credit unions through shared resources, aligned messaging, and system-wide collaboration.
