Old LGE Community Credit Union branch to become Cobb County Police headquarters

September 4th, 20181166 Cobb County recently announced plans to buy the old Marietta branch of LGE Community Credit Union to become the headquarters for the Cobb County Police Department, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The Cobb County Board of Commissioners ratified the action of purchase and sale for $13,475,000 on Aug. 28. The closing was set to take place on Aug. 31, although LGE will be allowed to occupy the property for up to 24 months afterward. Kinetic Credit Union presents financial workshop for small business owners

The credit union recently made a $4,000 donation to GMC to award a student a 1-year scholarship. Hawaii credit unions cleaning up after Hurricane Lane

August 30th, 20182895 Hawaiian credit unions are recovering this week after they withstood Hurricane Lane last week and over the weekend. Lane deposited more rain than any other tropical storm or cyclone in Hawaii's history, according to Weather.com. The downpour also ended up being the second-highest rain total in U.S. history by a tropical storm, dumping 52.02 inches on the islands. August 27th, 20180235 WRBL News 3 and Kinetic Credit Union presented this school year's first Kinetic Credit Union Golden Apple Award last week. The award went to Fairfax Elementary School's fourth-grade teacher Theresa Sandberg, according to WRBL. The 20-year teaching veteran was nominated by Simone Floyd. Cherokee schools OK partnership with LGE Community Credit Union

August 27th, 20180158 The Cherokee County School Board recently approved a partnership with LGE Community Credit Union that will "formalize the organization's financial sponsorship of several special CCSD events for students," according to a school board meeting summary.
