January 16th, 201928165 Police are investigating a Jan. 4 incident in which a man tried to cash a $3,000 stolen check -- before he was stopped by a vigilant Delta Community Credit Union teller.  The man presented the check and his ID to the teller at the Haynes Bridge Road location on Jan. 4, according to an Alpharetta Roswell Herald article. The teller noticed the check the man handed her was flagged in the system.  As the teller sought out her manager, the man said he had to go to work and asked her to hand him back the check.
