Delta Community Credit Union recently announced that Carisa Buffington will now serve as branch manager at the credit union's Buford branch, according to a Gwinnett Daily Post article.
Buffington has worked at Delta Community's Duluth and Suwanee branches over the last seven years.
"I loved working in Duluth and Suwanee, and now I'm grateful for the opportunity to get to know our members in Buford and serve their financial needs," Buffington told the Gwinnett Daily Post.

Delta Community Credit Union recently announced that four Cobb County teens will be starting part-time jobs as professional bank tellers, according to a Marietta Daily Journal article.
The students, all participants in their respective schools' work-based learning programs, were hired to take part int he Delta Community Credit Union High School Apprentice Program.

Peach State Federal Credit Union has committed to donating $2,5000 to Friends of the Libraries of Towns County. The funds will support two Northeast Georgia libraries over the next five years.
The mountain Regional Library and Towns County Public Library branches will receive $500 per year through 2023 from the credit union beginning this year.

Georgians received more than $229 million in direct financial benefits during 12 months ending in March 2019
Georgia credit unions continue to offer substantial financial benefits to members, according to the Credit Union National Association’s First Quarter 2019 Georgia Membership Benefits Report.

After nearly 40 years exemplary service to the APCU Board of Directors, Moses M. Spence has announced his retirement from the board.
Spence has served as a member of the APCU Board since November 1979. In January 2001, he was appointed as the chairman of the Board of Directors where he served until January 2018.
Spence will remain as Director Emeritus, an advisory board member.

Delta Community Credit Union recently acted as a donation location for WSB-TV and Children's Restoration Network's Stuff the Bus initiative.
Stuff the Bus collects donated backpacks and school supplies to help prepare homeless children and kids in group homes for the school year.
