Michelle Sass has been promoted from information services manager, a position she's held since 2013. Before joining APCU, Sass spent 17 years at other financial institutions working in member services, branch operations and risk management.
As project manager, Sass will assist all areas of APCU with the management of current and new projects.
April 26th, 20181346Atlanta Postal Credit Union recently announced the hiring of a new vice president of Operations.
Katie Kosmala will become the new VP, working closely with the credit union's branch managers to ensure branches remain focused on giving outstanding service to members while continuing to maintain a high level of operational excellence.
Kosmala has been working for APCU since April 2014. Most recently, she served as APCU's eServices Manager.

Peach State Federal Credit Union will sponsor five high school culinary students on their journey to a national competition at the end of the month.
The Meadowcreek High School students earned top honors in the 2018 Hospitality Foundation of Georgia ProStart State Championship. Their teacher, Chef Simone Byron, won the 2018 ProStart Teacher of the Year honor.

Elevate 2018 will serve as a personal and professional development event for exhibitors, sponsors and participants. The event was created to address Cobb's business community's desire to need to continually work to enhance personal growth, businesses and the community, according to a Marietta Daily Journal article.
The expo will take place Aug. 23 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre.

April 19th, 20180152Delta Community Credit Union recently celebrated the 1oth anniversary of its branch at 2627 Dallas Highway in Marietta, according to a Marietta Daily Journal article.
Long-time members and community partners reportedly joined Delta Community employees to celebrate the anniversary.

April 19th, 20180117Georgia United Credit Union recently announced the four winners of the $27,500 in scholarships it awarded this year.
The scholarship money was awarded to four high school seniors through scholarships named for the credit union's founder Vernon E. Carne and notable board members Geraldine Tilson, Dorthy Dusenberry Pirkle and Polly Hinde. This year's recipients were chosen based on a video competition with consideration given to academic accomplishments, leadership and participation in both school and community activities.

In her new role, Anna Foote will help oversee the On the Rise Financial Center, an initiative the Federation launched in 2017 to build financial access and capability in Atlanta's historic Westside community.
