MIRAMAR, Fla. –  Tropical Financial announced today that they have partnered with the Florida Panthers as their “Official Credit Union” for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 National Hockey League seasons.

“From our senior leadership to our credit union membership, we are proud to partner with the Florida Panthers,” said Rick Shaw, president/CEO of Tropical Financial. “We will have a unique opportunity to share our story with Panthers fans and deepen our commitment to the local community.”

With $1 billion in assets, Tropical Financial is one of the largest not-for-profit credit unions based in South Florida. It serves nearly 70,000 members in nine counties, with most living and working in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The Miramar-based financial institution provides an array of traditional and digital banking products and services, but is collectively owned by its members, not profit-seeking shareholders.

With this new partnership, Tropical Financial will receive branding throughout FLA Live Arena and during broadcasts. Tropical Financial will be the presenting sponsor of the team’s starting lineup in the arena and on social media. Outside of FLA Live Arena, Tropical Financial will jointly participate in local charitable and community events.

“Tropical Financial has an excellent reputation in Florida helping members achieve their financial goals and we are thrilled to have them as our ‘Official Credit Union,” said Florida Panthers Chief Revenue Officer Shawn Thornton.
