New branch located at 557 W. 49th Street in the Palm Springs Mile Shopping Center
MIAMI/MIRAMAR, Fla. – Tropical Financial Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial institution, opened a new branch in Hialeah, further expanding its presence across South Florida. The location, at 557 W. 49th St., in the Palm Springs Miles Shopping Center, represents the credit union’s seventh branch and its first in Hialeah.
The 1,600-square-foot branch was designed to serve the growing number of Tropical Financial members who live and work in Hialeah and the surrounding area.
“Hialeah is a vibrant and growing city, and we are proud to plant a flag here,” said Richard Shaw, president and CEO of Tropical Financial Credit Union. “This branch is a reflection of our commitment to showing up where our members live and work and making it convenient for them to easily access the products and services they need to reach their financial goals. But it’s also an open door, as we welcome anyone in the community who’s ready to experience the difference of belonging to a credit union.”
People interested in joining Tropical Financial can visit the branch and open a Free Daily Rewards checking account that deposits two cents back into a member’s account each time a debit card is used to make a purchase.
Even as digital banking has transformed the way people manage their finances, Tropical Financial remains committed to maintaining a physical presence in the communities it serves. For many members, there is no substitute for sitting across from someone who can walk them through a loan application, help them plan for a major purchase, cash a check, or simply answer a question in person.
“Digital banking has made managing your finances more convenient than ever, but we know that when it comes to the big decisions — buying a home, financing a car, planning for the future — people still want to sit down with someone they trust,” said Brian Burress, Vice President of Member Relations. “When we looked at where our members were and where we saw gaps in our coverage, Hialeah stood out.”
In addition to opening a free checking account or a savings account, members visiting the Hialeah branch can apply for a mortgage, automobile, consumer, or business loan, or work with a teller for everyday transactions such as cashing a check or making a deposit. A walkup ATM is also available for those who need quick cash.
Tropical Financial has branches in Doral, Fort Lauderdale, Hialeah, Kendall, Miramar, Plantation, and West Palm Beach.
