MIAMI, FL- (January, 2023) – The Southernmost Chapter, part of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions, is proud to announce that it achieved a record-breaking year of charitable giving, having raised an impressive $87,000.
Among the highlights of the Southernmost Chapter’s endeavors in 2023 are two major fundraising events that collectively raised an outstanding $87,000 for charitable causes, the highest amount ever raised in a single year by the organization.
In April, they hosted the “Charity Concert Under the Stars,” an event that brought the community together while raising money to support the Children’s Miracle Network and specifically benefited the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
Later in the year, the group organized the highly successful “Southernmost Chapter Golf Tournament & Vendor Fair.” This event not only showcased camaraderie within the financial services industry but also served as a platform to help the community. The money raised was distributed among organizations dedicated to cancer research and treatment, including the American Cancer Society, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Holtz Children’s Hospital, and the Baptist Health Foundation.
“The Southernmost Chapter is proud of our accomplishments this year, in which we have not only fostered professional growth but also made a significant impact in giving back to our community,” said Jennifer Gerson, President of the Southernmost Chapter. “We look forward to another record-breaking year of fundraising in 2024.”
