Augusta, GA — SRP Federal Credit Union made the holiday season brighter for members of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta. On December 13, 2023, SRP presented twenty-five bicycles to selected Club Members in a heartwarming event at The Hub for Community Innovation.

Employees of SRP Federal Credit Union gathered at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta’s headquarters at 2:00 pm to assemble the bicycles showcasing their commitment to community engagement and youth empowerment. The collaborative effort is part of SRP’s ongoing initiative to support local organizations and provide meaningful experiences for the community.

The bike assembly was immediately followed by the arrival of Boys & Girls Clubs kids at 4:00pm for the grand reveal. It was a surprise for the children who were not expecting to receive a bicycle upon arrival at the Club.

“SRP Federal Credit Union has a long-standing tradition of investing in our communities, and this initiative aligned with our commitment to making a meaningful impact on the lives of local residents,” stated Mr. Eric Jenkins, CEO, SRP Federal Credit Union. “We are so thankful for the opportunity we had to partner with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Augusta to build and gift these bicycles as a surprise to children during this holiday season.”

“As we embrace the spirit of giving during this holiday season, we could not be more grateful for this gesture of love and support from SRP,” said Mr. Jim Vinyard, VP of Development at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta. “We were excited to witness the happiness on our kids’ faces as they received these bicycles. It wasn’t just a moment of celebration, but a reminder of the profound impact we can make in the lives of our youth when we come together as a community.”

SRP Federal Credit Union is headquartered in North Augusta, SC and provides financial services to more than 190,000 members. For more information on SRP Federal Credit Union, visit www.srpfcu.org
