Danielle Baggett Wins SRP Federal Credit Union Protégé Competition

North Augusta, SC – On Tuesday, Oct. 6, eight exceptional SRP Federal Credit Union employees competed in the company-level CUxEL Protégé Speech Competition, a Carolinas Credit Union League (CCUL) program for rising credit union professionals ages 40 and under.

Presenting the topic of “Reaching the Next Generation,” SRP data analyst Danielle Baggett won the speech competition with a presentation on reaching Gen Z through social media. Member Service Representative Tyler Whisnant and Assistant Branch Manager Kyler Haskell were awarded first runner-up and second runner-up respectively.

Since joining the Digital Transformation team at SRP in 2023, Baggett has combined her skills in data analysis with her passion for uplifting young adults in the credit union’s field of membership. Among other accomplishments, Baggett founded the Gen Z Advisory Committee and participates as an active member of SRP’s Content Creation Committee, supporting SRP’s digital presence for members of all ages.

Baggett will represent SRP Federal Credit Union at the next competition stage, where young credit union professionals across 12 South Carolina counties will compete to represent the Central SC Chapter of Credit Unions in the final competition at CCUL’s LAUNCH 2027 conference.

“It was such a pleasure to participate in SRP’s Protégé competition,” said Baggett. “I loved getting to meet and talk with my fellow presenters, and it was a joy to hear how the credit union philosophy has impacted their lives in different ways. I’m thankful for SRP and for all of our leaders for providing us with this opportunity to challenge ourselves and grow as ambassadors and emerging leaders.”
