Marietta, GA – Credit Union of Georgia is proud to announce that Kathy Winiarczyk, Business Development Officer for the Cobb County community was recognized at the 2026 Employee End-of-Year Awards Luncheon hosted by Marietta City Schools, where she received the prestigious Board of Education Appreciation Award. The award recognizes individuals and organizations for their time, talent, and treasure dedicated to making a meaningful impact within Marietta City Schools.
Out of a packed auditorium, only four individuals and/or businesses were selected for this incredible honor, making the recognition especially meaningful for Kathy and Credit Union of Georgia.
“Kathy consistently goes above and beyond to serve others and represent Credit Union of Georgia with compassion, leadership, and heart,” said Amanda Arnold, Director of Community Outreach with Credit Union of Georgia. “Her commitment to our community truly makes a difference every single day, and we could not be prouder of this well-deserved recognition.”
Earlier this month, Kathy was also selected as a recipient of the inaugural Neil Barfield Above and Beyond Award, presented during a recent Marietta Schools Foundation Board Meeting.
The award was introduced by former Marietta Schools Foundation Executive Director Joe Kinstle during a celebration honoring his retirement. Created in recognition of Neil Barfield’s legacy, the award honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication, service, and commitment to going above and beyond in support of the Foundation and the community.
Kathy was one of only two individuals selected to receive this inaugural recognition, further highlighting her longstanding commitment to supporting students, educators, and families throughout the community.
Through her leadership, volunteerism, and passion for service, Kathy continues to exemplify Credit Union of Georgia’s mission of strengthening communities and building meaningful relationships across Cobb County and beyond.
