Credit Union of Georgia Celebrates Back to School Season, Launches School Partner Perks Local credit union connects with thousands of school employees across Cobb, Cherokee and Marietta City Schools

Kennesaw, GA — Credit Union of Georgia celebrated another successful back to school season, attending more than 50 events and connecting with thousands of educators, administrators and school district employees throughout the Cobb County School District, Cherokee County School District, and Marietta City Schools.

From new teacher orientations and employee kickoffs to department meetings, school celebrations and back to school events, Credit Union of Georgia team members spent the summer welcoming school employees back for another year and sharing appreciation for the important role they play in local schools and communities.

“Back to School season is one of our favorite times of the year because it gives us the opportunity to personally connect with the people who make such an incredible difference in the lives of students every day,” said Amanda Arnold, Director of Community Outreach for Credit Union of Georgia. “Credit Union of Georgia was founded by educators more than 65 years ago, so supporting our local school systems isn’t simply something we do, it’s part of who we are. Seeing thousands of school employees throughout this Back to Schools season was a wonderful reminder of why these partnerships mean so much to us.”

As part of this year’s Back to School celebrations, Credit Union of Georgia invited school employees to enter its annual Back to School Raffle. After receiving hundreds of entries from employees throughout the communities it serves, Ms. Barbara C. of Cherokee County Schools was randomly selected as the 2026 Back to School Raffle winner, receiving a Yeti Tote Bag, Turtlebox Speaker, Owala Water Bottle, and other Credit Union of Georgia goodies!

Credit Union of Georgia extends its congratulations to Ms. Barbara C. and its sincere appreciation to every school employee who participated and welcomed the Credit Union team throughout the summer.

While Back to School season may be wrapping up, Credit Union of Georgia is just getting started when it comes to celebrating the people who make our local schools so special.

This year, Credit Union of Georgia introduced School Partner Perks, a new program created exclusively with eligible school district employees in mind. Rooted in the Credit Union’s history as a financial institution founded by educators, the program is designed to provide school employees with special benefits, added savings and financial opportunities throughout the year.

“Our school employees spend every day investing in our children and our communities, and we believe they deserve a financial partner that invests in them, too,” Arnold added. “School Partner Perks is our way of saying thank you while providing meaningful benefits that can make a difference in their financial lives. We’re excited to share even more about the program with our school partners throughout the year.”

From helping school employees save more of their hard-earned money to supporting their next big financial milestone, School Partner Perks is another way Credit Union of Georgia is putting its educator roots into action.

And for local school employees, there is plenty more to come.

Credit Union of Georgia looks forward to continuing its partnerships with the Cobb County School District, Cherokee County School District, and Marietta City Schools throughout the 2026–2027 school year through financial education, employee engagement, community partnerships, and ongoing support of local students and educators.
