Virginia Beach, VA – For eight years running, Chartway Credit Union is proud to be awarded a Top Workplaces honor in 2026 by Inside Business. This award is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage. At Chartway, employees are team members and the confidential survey uniquely measures their experience and its component themes, including feeling respected and supported, enabled to grow, and empowered to execute, among others.

“Receiving this recognition for an eighth year in a row is especially meaningful because it reflects the voices of our team members,” said Rebecca Riordan, chief people and culture officer at Chartway Credit Union. “Our team is the heart of Chartway, and we’re committed to creating a workplace where they feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow. This award celebrates the culture we’ve built together, one rooted in purpose, collaboration, and helping each other thrive.”

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

In addition to the 2026 Inside Business Top Workplaces Award, Chartway earned a sixth consecutive USA Today Top Workplaces Award this year. Chartway also received 2026 Top Workplaces Culture Excellence and Industry Awards in eight categories: Innovation (2022-2026), Work-Life Flexibility (2026), Leadership (2026), Purpose & Values (2026), Professional Development (2023-2026), Employee Well-Being (2023-2026), Employee Appreciation (2023-2026), and Financial Services (2021-2026). In 2025, Chartway also earned its sixth consecutive Top Workplaces award in Utah.
