Peach State made the announcement at the latest Oconeefest scholarship fundraiser Oct. 18 at the University of North Georgia's Oconee campus. The event raised about $15,700 in scholarships for Oconee County students attending any UNG campus.

The credit union based in Warner Robins, Ga., recently presented a check to Heart of Georgia Hospice to run its Camp WINGS. The camp, held from Nov. 9 until Nov. 11, is meant for youth ages 6 to 16 who are grieving the loss of a loved one, according to a Credit Union Times article.
