Eton Elementary School students will start the year enjoying a new playground provided by the 2019 Georgia United Foundation School Crashers Program.
On Aug. 17, Georgia United Credit Union team members and community volunteers provided fresh much to the the school grounds and installed new playground equipment complete with slides, climbing activities and adaptive swings while updating additional equipment with fresh paint. In addition, new playground games including hopscotch were hand-painted by volunteers.

LGE Community Credit Union celebrated the official grand opening of its new Alpharetta branch on Aug. 20.
The event included a ceremonial ribbon cutting with the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, entertainment from local radio station B98.5 and free tacos for attendees from The Queso Truck. Robins Financial Credit Union recently sponsored the upcoming local Pro Rodeo by contributing $1,500 to Easterseals Middle Georgia.
The rodeo will be held Oct. 25, in Dublin.
Easterseals Middle Georgia's mission is to provide vocational rehabilitation and other services to people with disabilities and other barriers to enable them to live independently and with dignity through meaningful work.

Go Energy Financial recently awarded $1000 each in scholarships to two outstanding Georgia high school students.
This year's scholarships went to Colin Burnett from Marietta and Lauren Heighton from Hoschton.
Burnett plans to attend Georgia Tech, where he'll major in aerospace engineering. The Georgia Walton Comprehensive HIgh School graduate was president of the Environmental Club. He also served on the Student Leadership Council, in Model United Nations and attended the Governor's Honors Program.
