TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – First Commerce Credit Union recently awarded two $1,000 scholarships to local students who are MyWay checking account members. Through this unique program, MyWay checking account members are eligible each year to apply for the scholarships, which can be used toward expenses for higher education.

On March 13, The Osceola Council on Aging Meals on Wheels program hosted the live March for Meals St. Patrick’s 5K Run/Walk and raised over $25,000 to fill food pantries and assist with operating expenses.
Many do not realize the volunteers in the Meals on Wheels program serve more than food each day to seniors; they also give companionship to lift the spirits of seniors and help them feel connected to the community.

On Saturday, March 27, kids showed up at school but not because they had to—they were a buzz with their family, friends and school mates to run the Smile Mile.
Although the event was converted to a virtual experience, that didn’t stop over 1,000 kids, 11 years and under, from signing up and taking care of tasks normally handled by adult volunteers.

The live and virtual AdventHealth Winter Park Road Race 10K and 2 Mile on March 13 offered participants three levels of endurance on a beautiful tree lined route that wound around a lake. They could choose the 10K, 2 mile or take the Distance Dare challenge—which combined both races for a total of 8.2 miles.
All proceeds will benefit the Meridian Club of Winter Park Scholarship Fund who has served the City of Winter Park and surrounding regions for 37 years. Since 1977, the Meridian Club has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships to more than 150 high school students.

DELRAY BEACH, FL. (03/16/21) – iTHINK Financial Credit Union’s Aviation Branch, located at, 2625 Airport Drive, Vero Beach FL, 32960, will host a mobile food drive in association with the Treasure Coast Food Bank on Saturday, March 20, 2021.
