Recently, the Credit Union hosted a Charitable Contributions Raffle to raise money for Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, The Salvation Army, MUST Ministries and The Children’s Haven. Gadsden, Ala. – In 2009, Family Savings began offering $1,000 scholarships through the CV Glassco Memorial Scholarship Fund, named for our previous board chairman, CV Glassco who passed away in 2008. In 2019, the credit union established a new scholarship based off the wishes of a long-time employee and board member, Ms. Audra Burger. Before her passing in 2019, Ms. Burger requested that a scholarship fund for a child or grandchild of a credit union employee or retiree be created. On Thursday, April 22nd, their Margate branch hosted a COVID-friendly drive-thru dedicated to collecting unwanted personal documents. provided scholarships to two members pursuing degrees in higher education
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – First Commerce Credit Union recently awarded two $1,000 scholarships to local students who are MyWay checking account members. Through this unique program, MyWay checking account members are eligible each year to apply for the scholarships, which can be used toward expenses for higher education.

On March 13, The Osceola Council on Aging Meals on Wheels program hosted the live March for Meals St. Patrick’s 5K Run/Walk and raised over $25,000 to fill food pantries and assist with operating expenses.
Many do not realize the volunteers in the Meals on Wheels program serve more than food each day to seniors; they also give companionship to lift the spirits of seniors and help them feel connected to the community.

On Saturday, March 27, kids showed up at school but not because they had to—they were a buzz with their family, friends and school mates to run the Smile Mile.
Although the event was converted to a virtual experience, that didn’t stop over 1,000 kids, 11 years and under, from signing up and taking care of tasks normally handled by adult volunteers.
