August 8th, 20226125Vernon, Ala. – Avadian Credit Union completed the acquisition of Citizens State Bank of Vernon, Ala., on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Avadian and Citizens State Bank (CSB) announced the agreement of the acquisition in December 2021.
Avadian will keep both of the former CSB branches, including re-opening the downtown drive-thru branch in October.
The addition of the two branches brings Avadian’s locations across the state to 19.

The Bigger Vision of Athens community shelter serves people experiencing homelessness in Athens. On a nightly basis, they shelter approximately 35 people through their Emergency Shelter Program. During their stay, guests also receive two meals, shower services, and laundry services. Robins Financial’s donation will provide 182 nights of shelter to an individual.
