January 6th, 2023159MADISON, WI (January 6, 2023) – The National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) has announced the recipients of two grant programs which will provide opportunities for credit unions to offer financial coaching and combat hunger in their local communities.
Ten credit unions received the financial coaching grant, a total value of $120,000, which will give them access to the Pathways to Financial Empowerment program, led by Inclusiv and Neighborhood Trust, and Inclusiv’s Financial Empowerment Learning Center training to help them integrate financial coaching into their operations. First Commerce pledged to donate to the Tallahassee Toys for Tots for every CD opened during the campaign in November and early December, up to $5,000. Their efforts and Doing the Most Good spirit paid off as they raised over $2,600! Along with this total, the Credit Union contributed an additional $4,000 bringing the grand total of funds raised to help individuals and families in the community to over $6,500! The Salvation Army helps communities, near and far, fight poverty, addiction, and homelessness.
