October 22nd, 2018296Peach State Federal Credit Union recently announced that it will continue supporting an event that provides thousands of dollars in scholarships to Oconee County students.
Peach State made the announcement at the latest Oconeefest scholarship fundraiser Oct. 18 at the University of North Georgia's Oconee campus. The event raised about $15,700 in scholarships for Oconee County students attending any UNG campus.

The credit union based in Warner Robins, Ga., recently presented a check to Heart of Georgia Hospice to run its Camp WINGS. The camp, held from Nov. 9 until Nov. 11, is meant for youth ages 6 to 16 who are grieving the loss of a loved one, according to a Credit Union Times article. The children participate in normal camp activities and receie free grief counseling. They also live around children their own ages who have experienced similar situations.
