LGE Community Credit Union celebrated the official grand opening of its new Alpharetta branch on Aug. 20.
The event included a ceremonial ribbon cutting with the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, entertainment from local radio station B98.5 and free tacos for attendees from The Queso Truck. Chris Leggett, president and CEO of LGE Community, and Kali Boatright, president and CEO of the Greater North Fulton Chamber, made remarks about the new location.

Robins Financial Credit Union recently sponsored the upcoming local Pro Rodeo by contributing $1,500 to Easterseals Middle Georgia.
The rodeo will be held Oct. 25, in Dublin.
Easterseals Middle Georgia's mission is to provide vocational rehabilitation and other services to people with disabilities and other barriers to enable them to live independently and with dignity through meaningful work.

Go Energy Financial recently awarded $1000 each in scholarships to two outstanding Georgia high school students.
This year's scholarships went to Colin Burnett from Marietta and Lauren Heighton from Hoschton.
Burnett plans to attend Georgia Tech, where he'll major in aerospace engineering. The Georgia Walton Comprehensive HIgh School graduate was president of the Environmental Club. He also served on the Student Leadership Council, in Model United Nations and attended the Governor's Honors Program.

The Georgia United Foundation recently provided a new playground structure for Camp Creek Elementary School's Special Education class as part of its sixth annual School Crashers program.

The Associated Credit Union Foundation was able to donate more than 2,000 school supplies to various charities in the metro Atlanta area, just in time for a new school year.
The Foundation organized the Back-to-School Drive in June and July, collecting donations at their 24 branch locations. Members and employees dropped off donations ranging from stuffed backpacks, to graphing calculators, to notebooks. Supplies came in by the box load.
