Georgia's Own Credit Union hid dozens of free food vouchers shaped like peaches around Woodruff Park on Friday. The vouchers, valued at $10, can be redeemed at the park's first Food Truck Friday of the summer.
Food Truck Fridays are held in Woodruff Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Friday through July 26, according to a CityBizList article. The free event is open to the nearby public.
Georgia's Own's food vouchers are a result of an ongoing partnership between the credit union and Woodruff Park that was inspired by the 2017 relocation of Georgia's Own's headquarters to 100 Peachtree in Downtown Atlanta.

Peach State Federal Credit Union President and CEO Marshall Boutwell recently weighed in on a Credit Union Journal article that allowed credit unions around the country to weigh in on regulatory priorities for the second half of 2019.

North Main Credit Union recently sponsored lunch for a group of Habitat for Humanity volunteers from St. Joseph's University in Pennsylvania.
The group was taking part in the SJU Challenge, a program which has volunteers travel across the country during the summer to promote awareness of the need to eliminate substandard housing in the United States.
Recently, the group stopped in Habersham to work on a local Habitat for Humanity house. While they were working, North Main Credit Union provided lunch for the volunteers.

Robins Financial credit Union recently awarded a $2,000 scholarship to 14 high school seniors.
This is the 23rd year that Robins Financial has presented this scholarship to graduating seniors and has given close to $530,000 to college scholarships to date.

A new scholarship recently created at Gwinnett Technical College honors former Peach state Chairman of the Board Rick Davis, who officially retired from the board at the May meeting.

The scholarship was established by Peach State Federal Credit Union to honor Davis' 19 years of service as a member of their board of directors, including the last six as chairman. Davis retired from the Gwinnett County Public School System after 30 years of service.

DOCO Credit Union is celebrating its 60th year in business.
In May 1959, Dougherty County School Employees Federal Credit Union was chartered as a benefit for the employees of the Dougherty County School System. The first member was Dr. Ronald Culpeper who served on the Board of Directors and the first Board Chairman was Mr. J.G. Sowell.
The credit union changed its name in 2003 to DOCO Regional Federal Credit Union and again in 2012 to DOCO Credit Union as it branched out to include additional school systems, counties, organizations and member groups.

Twenty students were honored at the board of directors meeting on May 23 at DOCO's main branch. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship. DOCO has awarded over $115,000 in scholarships. Below are 2019 recipients.
