The Georgia United Foundation recently provided a new playground structure for Camp Creek Elementary School's Special Education class as part of its sixth annual School Crashers program.

The Associated Credit Union Foundation was able to donate more than 2,000 school supplies to various charities in the metro Atlanta area, just in time for a new school year.
The Foundation organized the Back-to-School Drive in June and July, collecting donations at their 24 branch locations. Members and employees dropped off donations ranging from stuffed backpacks, to graphing calculators, to notebooks. Supplies came in by the box load.

The African American Credit Union Coalition recently inducted Ed Presnell, regional business executive at Peach State Federal Credit Union, into its Hall of Fame, according to a CUNA News article.
Presnell is responsible for the cultivation and management of relationships in two counties in Georgia and South Carolina. He was one of four individuals inducted into AACUC's Hall of Fame this year.

United Way of Central Georgia recently named two credit unions on its list of top 100 Most Generous Workplaces in Central Georgia.
Robins Financial Credit Union and MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union were both named to the list, which honored companies investing in a better future for Central Georgia and its residents through corporate and employee sponsorship, monetary and in-kind giving and initiative support.

Georgia's Own Credit Union recently hosted a free resume workshop in Woodruff Park along with Library on the Lawn.
The event, "Re-imagine your 8 to 5 on 8/5," is the latest initiative in Georgia's Own's yearlong "85 acts of Kindness" campaign, according to an Atlanta CityBizList article.
The Georgia's Own team provided one-on-one consulting and free USB drives so participants could take a digital copy of their new resume with them. Library on the Lawn, an outdoor computer lab hosted by the Fulton County Library System, provided Chromebooks at the event.

Family First Credit Union recently acted as the sponsor for "Fulton's Finest," the Fulton County School District's 13th annual recognition for extraordinary bus drivers.
A total of 166 drivers and their guests were recognized for excellent service, including perfect attendance and accident-free driving records, according to the Roswell Patch. Each also received a special "Fulton's Finest" jacket, sweatshirt or polo shirt.
